New on our airwaves these past few weeks: The latest from Miranda Lambert's highly-acclaimed "Four The Record" "Over You", which she co-wrote with hubby Blake Shelton. Blake's back with another tune from "Red River Blue" entitled "Drink On It". Also new this week Ronnie Dunn's "Let The Cowboy Rock", taken from his self-titled disc from last year. Nice to hear Ronnie singing an uptempo rocker after the lovely (but slow-ish) "Cost Of Living" and "Bleed Red"....
Newcomer Lee Brice ("Love Like Crazy") is back with another great song "A Woman Like You" and we've got newcomer Hunter Hayes with his debut "Storm Warning" - Hunter will be in our area at the end of February - more deets here: http://artistdata.sonicbids.com/hunter-hayes/shows/toronto-on-the-mod-club-feb-29-2012/763416
You've likely heard Johnny Reid's new tune "Fire It Up" on KX-96 by now; We're proud to present the wee laddie with the big voice, along with special guest Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Thursday May 10 at the General Motors Centre here in Oshawa. John's new disc of the same name is due out March 13. Gord Bamford's new album "Is It Friday Yet" (featuring the new hit title track) will be out the week before, on March 6.
You'll also be hearing new music from former Roadhammer Clayton Bellamy and his forthcoming solo disc - tunes' called "Everyone's A Dreamer", which also is the name of the album :)
Remember if you have a question about a song we're playing (or NOT playing) drop the Music Dude a line here: music@kx96.fm
