A Very Merry & 'Unsnowy' Chinese New Year

Posted by Jeunesse Montgomery-Spencer on 2012/02/02

Hello!

This past weekend we were in Cannington for the 8th Annual Dog Sled Races. Due to the lack of snow the races were cancelled but-there was still a winter carnival full of fun (think aboriginal dancing, beavertails, fire throwing, comedy shoes and more!) and some husky pups showed up for a special appearance. It was so much fun and we can’t wait for next year.

We also went to Chinatown where the lucky lion was making its rounds to spread luck and joy for 2012. To celebrate the year of the dragon we watched a magic show and enjoyed live traditional dance performances and music. Kung Hei Fat Choy!

Until next week…!
