It's the Canada Day long weekend! Get your red and white ready! We have a lot in store that you can get involved in!

I'll be starting my weekend off at the Blood Donor Clinic in Oshawa on Saturday morning. Canadian Blood Services is looking for blood donors in Oshawa this summer! Every minute of every day a Canadian needs to receive blood. Give the gift of life today at the clinic at Harmony and Taunton Road. Check your eligibility and book your appointment at

Next, I'll be off to the Oh Canada Summer Market and Fun Fair at the Oshawa Naval Hall. This is a super cool event all in support of Sick Kids Foundation. It's a fun fair for children of all ages with free interactive crafts and prizes. Come out at support not only the hospital for sick children but also MADD and Canadian Blood Services.

The Canada Day weekend continues at the Lynde House Museum in Whitby! You can learn about the history of Whitby , tour the museum and make sure you bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the park!

I'll be finishing Saturday up in the Newcastle Memorial Park where I'll be getting ready for their big celebrations on Sunday and I'll be there doing a Winsticker drive through for you. Right now, the KX96 Winsticker includes a coupon from Halenda's Meats - buy one pound of award winning ham kobassa and get one free!

On Sunday it's all things Canada all day! I'll be starting the celebrations at Rotary Park in Oshawa. They have family festivities going on until 3:00PM like inflatable rides and air brush tattoos. At 6:00PM the party moves over to Ajax Downs with gourmet food trucks, live entertainment and a spectacular fireworks display!

On Sunday afternoon I'll be checking out the celebration at Esplanade Park in Pickering. Come out for a full day of fun in the sun with activities, games, and more. The evening event starts at 7:00PM at Bay Ridges Kinsmen Park where you can see a Blue Rodeo tribute band and many more before the fireworks display when the sun goes down.

The party doesn't stop there as I will be making my last stop at Lakeview Park in Oshawa where starting at 2:00PM you can be entertained, enjoy food, family and the amazing firework display at dusk! They will have multiple activity zones for all ages like a petting zoo, midway rides, a volleyball tournament and sandcastle workshops!

I hope you have a safe and fun long weekend and remember if you have an event you think I should know about send me an email at:
