Haunted Harbour & A Good 5K

Posted by Jeunesse Montgomery-Spencer on 2011/10/26

This weekend we started to get in the mood for Halloween at the  Oshawa Community Museum at their Halloween Haunt at the Harbour! We had a great time with a tour of the Pioneer Cemetery on Bonnie Brae Point;  hanging out with Spirit Matters, a local paranormal investigation team and D & D Exotics  with giant snakes, tortoises, lizards and insects; then we got freaked out as we wandered through the 'Goo, Guts, & Gore' table. Ahhh!

Then we worked up a sweat and funds for a cause in the 2nd Annual Hearth Place 5K on the Runway. the event took over the Oshawa Airport where participants ranging from serious runners, to recreational walkers got to 'on the go' on the actual runway at the airport for Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre.

What a great weekend!

If you have an event you think we should know about - drop me a line at jeunesse@kx96.fm

This morning Ellis and Archer said that a Hamilton Principal cancelled Halloween and it was asked what makes Halloween offensive?....
I for one do not celebrate Halloween, not because I find it offensive but because my kids are too old to 'trick or treat.' However, Halloween IS offensive to Christians because it is the devils day...
