Matt Stell used some of his first big earnings from his career to do something special for his mom at Christmas. She shared the story in  a video they played at the New Faces of Country Music show during the Country Radio Seminar in Nashville. Matt was home visiting his mom at Christmas, and he wrote her a letter telling her how much he appreciates her influence on his life. At the end of the letter he told her that he had paid off her horse trailer. His mom called it a "moment any mother would treasure."
