Scotty McCreery plans to get back into the studio by the end of the year. He waited five years between his 2013 sophomore album, See You Tonight, and his 2018 album, Season's Change, which earned him two number one singles. "We're headed back into the studio in mid-December," says Scotty. "We've got a lot of songs we've been writing and a lot of songs we've been sitting on that we're excited about. So we're going to get them in the can. The last record, I had to wait five years between records. We're not doing that again. We want to be ready to go."

Brantley Gilbert is featured in People's Sexiest Man Alive issue, and in the article he talks about the recent death of his dog, Alley. They met more than 10 years ago when Brantley was playing at a bar in South Georgia. He said that she was hanging around the parking lot and at one point he saw someone throwing beer bottles at her in an alley. "We had...let's call it a conversation," he remembers. "After that she ran right up to me in the alley, so that's what I named her, and she's been with me ever since." The two had an instant connection. "I put her in the bed on the floor, but when I woke up, she was in bed with me," he says. The pictures of Brantley and Alley featured in People were taken shortly before she died. "When People invited me to be photographed with Alley, we just found out that she had cancer," he explains. "Sadly she passed away shortly after, but I do believe that all dogs go to heaven and I know our sweet girl is there now." Brantley, his wife Amber and their two children were by Alley's side when she died.
