Trace Adkins will be on the road this spring and summer for his "The Way I Wanna Go Tour". It will start April 15th. "I'll be on stage singing 'Every Light in the House Is On', and I look down at the crowd and realize that person right there wasn't even alive when I recorded that song," says Trace. "To watch their face go, 'Oh, that's a cool hook, I like this.' It's like, 'Well, these songs still resonate today and are tried and true hits.' It's pretty special."
Darius Rucker is partnering with the Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism to serve as an official ambassador for South Carolina tourism in 2020. He will make appearances at several tourism events, including the RBC Heritage golf tournament on Hilton Head in April. He will also appear on marketing material for the state's DiSCover campaign and as the cover story for their official vacation guide.
Brad Paisley announced that he will heading out on a 2020 World Tour. It will kick off May 15th in California. The tour will also head to Norway, Sweden, The Netherlands, Germany and Canada. Jordan Davis and Gabby Barrett are his support acts. A portion of ticket sales will go to The Store, a non-profit free-referral based grocery store that Brad and his wife Kimberly run in partnership with Belmont University.
George Strait has become only the second country artist to surpass 10 million concert tickets sold. With the success of his Las Vegas residency and his shows at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, George was able to hit 10,031,222 tickets sold in his career. The only other country artist to do this is Kenny Chesney, with a total of 15,511,123 tickets sold in his career.
Maren Morris' song "The Bones" is the first song by a solo female artist to take number one on the country charts for more than one week since Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away" stayed at number one for multiple weeks in 2012. "Two weeks at number 1. If I can be honest, I really thought the only way this could ever happen is if I was the feature artist on a guy's song," Maren wrote on Twitter. "Sitting here seeing my name at the top of the chart at all is rare, but to break this 8 year streak just feels so unbelievable. Thank you."
Dierks Bentley has recorded a song called "Leaving Lonesome Flats" for the soundtrack for the movie Trolls World Tour. Kelly Clarkson and Chris Stapleton have also recorded songs for the soundtrack, which is being released March 13. The movie is coming out April 17.
Carrie Underwood will be doing a different kind of tour in March. She will be on a book tour to celebrate the release of Find Your Path: Honor Your Body, Fuel Your Soul and Get Strong With the Fit 52 Life, which is being released March 3rd.
Rascal Flatts has extended their Rascal Flatts Farewell: Life Is a Highway Tour with eleven new dates. They also announced that they will be bringing special guests Chris Lane, Chase Rice, Avenue Beat, Caylee Hammack, King Calaway, Matt Stell and Rachel Wammack to join them on select dates.
