Tre Twitty, the grandson of Conway Twitty, recently met Reba McEntire for the first time. This meeting gave him a chance to share a story about Reba's kindness and generosity. Tre explained on his Facebook page that when his grandfather collapsed on his bus in Branson, Mo., on June 4, 1993 and was hospitalized in Springfield, that Tre's father, Michael, and his siblings needed to get from Nashville to their dying father's side as quick as possible. So he called a friend for help. That friend was Reba McEntire. When she heard the story, she told them to go to the airport, that her plane would be waiting and they could take it as long as they needed it. Because of that, they were able to be there when Conway passed the morning of June 5th. When Michael called Reba to discuss what they owed her for letting them use the plane, her response was, "Your daddy took me on tour and gave me $5,000 a night when I wasn't worth $500, you don't owe me anything. I loved him." Tre says that he's been waiting 26 years to meet Reba and thank her for her generosity. "Country Music is all about family," he wrote. "Thank you Reba for being there for mine."
