Jelly Roll dropped and shattered his New Artist of the Year award backstage at the CMA Awards. He will get a new one. The trophies used backstage are generic ones and his actual award will be sent to him later.

One of the biggest performances at the CMA Awards was the Hardy, Morgan Wallen and Post Malone tribute to Joe Diffie. They played two of his biggest hits - "John Deere Green" and "Pickup Man." On the heels of that performance, Hardy announced that his forthcoming Hixtape Vol. 3 will be a tribute to Joe Diffie. The album won't be just straight covers. "You guys are familiar with my Hixtape thing," Hardy told the press backstage at the CMA Awards. "So by the grace of God, Hixtape Vol. 3 is going to be a little bit different...we have gotten ahold of all of Joe Diffie's recordings from the 90's, the actual sessions themselves. What we have basically done with Hixtape, is we have taken some of Joe's vocals out and added some of the biggest singers in country music to help him out." Hardy hasn't shared the full list of collaborators for the new project. Hixtape Vol. 3 arrives March 29th.

Jelly Roll went out of his way to make sure that Wynonna Judd joined him onstage at the CMA Awards. When he first asked her to perform "Need A Favor" with him, she turned him down because she had a show in Texas the following night. Jelly Roll wasn't going to take no for an answer, so he got a private plane to make sure Wynonna could be there. She says that she looked unstable at times and was holding his arm for support during the performance because she was so nervous. "I got out there and I was so nervous, I just held on for dear life," Wynonna said. "And that's the bottom line."

Members of Shania Twain's concert production crew were involved in a bus crash on an icy highway in Saskatchewan. Shania was not on the bus. Her management company, Maverick, says in a statement that the bus and a truck from her tour were in the collision on the Trans-Canada Highway near Wolseley. They were driving from a show in Winnipeg to Saskatoon. Firefighters had to use an emergency hatch in the roof to free 13 people stuck inside the bus when it rolled on its side. People were taken to the hospital but none of their injuries were considered life-threatening.

A social media post by Kenny Chesney a couple of weeks ago had his fans speculating that he would be hitting the road for a new tour with Zac Brown Band. That news has just been confirmed. Kenny has announced his 2024 Sun Goes Down Tour with Zac Brown Band. The 18 stadium shows will start in April and continue into August. In addition to Zac Brown Band, Megan Moroney and Uncle Kracker will also take part in the stadium shows.

Luke Bryan accidently revealed one of the CMA Awards secret performances. It happened during a press conference with his co-host Peyton Manning. He was asked about the moments that he is most looking forward to, and Luke mentioned that he's looking forward to seeing Morgan Wallen, Hardy and Post Malone perform. "For them to be onstage together is fun stuff," he shared. "They're doing the Joe Diffie tribute." Although their performance had been announced, the CMA had billed it as a medley of classic country hits. There was no mention of a tribute to Joe Diffie, who died in March 2020. The 2023 CMA Awards take place tonight. It will air live from Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on ABC.

Keith Urban, Darius Rucker, Lady A and Jordan Davis are just some the country artists who will be handing out trophies tomorrow night at the CMA Awards. Other presenters announced include Parker McCollum, Craig Morgan, Martina McBride, Chris Young, Hailey Whitters, Sara Evans, Bill Anderson and Brian Kelly. Actors Kevin Cahoon and Cynthia Erivo will also present during the show along with comedian Nate Bargatze, Paula Abdul, baseball player Corey Seager and the Golden Bachelor Gerry Turner. The 2023 CMA Awards will air live tomorrow night on ABC starting at 8pm. Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning are co-hosting the show.
