Maddie & Tae's Tae Dye and songwriter/producer Josh Kerr got married Friday in Nashville. The couple started out as friends and had been writing music together before they ever became a couple, and Tae says that both their writing and romantic relationships just feel natural.
Dan + Shay's Shay Mooney and his wife, Hannah, welcomed their second child, a baby boy, on February 21st. Ames Alexander Mooney weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces and, according to the couple, he is "absolutely perfect." They are also parents to 3-year-old Asher James.
Tim McGraw is returning to Big Machine Label Group, which was his label from 2013-2017. The announcement was made on Friday. "I am so proud to welcome Tim McGraw back home to Big Machine Records," BMLG founder and CEO Scott Borchetta tells Billboard. "We can't wait to jump back into the mix with Tim and his great team and get his incredible new music out to the world." Tim recently left Sony Music Entertainment, the label he signed with, along with his wife Faith Hill, in February of 2017.
George Strait will be performing a concert at Notre Dame Stadium on August 15th. The show is being called Strait to South Bend and will feature special guests Chris Stapleton and Brothers Osborne.
Reba McEntire is back with the label that launched her. She has signed a new deal with Universal Music Group Nashville. "It's a wonerful feeling to be back with the family where I started," Reba says in a press release. "I am thrilled because my catalog is here at Universal and I'm really excited to revisit all the songs that I recorded many years ago. We're going to have a lot of fun." Reba spent the first 32 years of her career with UMG Nashville. She earned 33 of her 35 number one singles with the label and sold more than 56 million albums.
Congratulations to Frankie Ballard and his wife Christina. They became parents to a baby girl on February 8th. They announced Pepper Lynn Ballard's arrival on Instagram on February 20th. "God gave us a DAUGHTER!!!" Christina writes, calling Pepper "a precious angel and beautiful gift from Heaven."
Luke Combs lost a bet during the football season and had to go on a 90-day vegan diet. "I mean I'm still alive, I'll put it that way," he says. "I eat a lot bars like protein bars, lots of veggies. And, if you're not familiar with vegan, it's no animal products whatsoever: no meat, no cheese, no milk, no butter, no anything good. So I've still got about 70-odd days left, which is pretty depressing to think about." Luke has also added another 15 dates to his What You See Is What You Get Tour. The new shows will feature an in-the-round stage design.
Luke Bryan teamed with Constellation Brands to develop his own beer. It's called Two Lane Americana Golden Lager. "Between my songs, Instagram posts and onstage toasts to my audience, it's no secret that I like beer," says Luke. "For a long time, I've dreamed of creating a beer to enjoy no matter if you are hanging out at one of my shows or at home with friends and family, and I was so grateful to find a partner in Constellation to make that dream a reality."
