Chris Stapleton says that the songs are written and he's now in the studio working on his next project. He told Rolling Stone that some of the songs were created with Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers guitarist Mike Campbell. "He's probably my favourite guitar player of all time," Chris says. "To sit around with him and write some songs has been cool. We did some last year too." Chris says he can't firmly commit to new material coming out in 2020, "I don't want to make any promises, but there is probably some new music on the way."
Sugarland will hit the road this summer for the There Goes The Neighbourhood Tour. The 26 date tour kicks off June 4th at Budweiser Stage in Toronto. Mary Chapin Carpenter, Tenille Townes and Danielle Bradbery will provide support on select dates.
Thomas Rhett and Lauren are now a family of five with the birth of their newest daughter. Lennon Love Akins was born on Monday at 8:30 and weighed 9lbs, 2oz. "Her sisters couldn't be happier to finally get to kiss her little face," says Lauren. "We could not be more in love." According to mom, she has "lots of dark hair and blue eyes".
Tim McGraw is no longer signed to Sony Music Nashville. Billboard reports that both sides have confirmed the split and have declined to comment. Tim and his wife, Faith Hill, both signed with Sony Music Entertainment, the parent company of Sony Music Nashville in February 2017 and released a duets album, The Rest of Our Life, in October of that year.
Keith Urban held his seventh annual All For the Hall benefit concert February 10th at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. The lineup featured Keith Urban, Ingrid Andress, Luke Combs, Brothers Osborne, Carly Pearce, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Tennille Townes, Tanya Tucker and Morgan Wallen. The theme this year was Under the Influence. So each artist performed a song by an artist who influenced them, as well as one of their own hits. The event raised more than $800,000 for the Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum's education programs. So far, Keith's All For the Hall concerts have raised $4.2 million in total.
Florida Georgia Line and Jason Aldean have created their very own line of bourbon called Wolf Moon Bourbon. It's 80 proof bourbon and distilled from Midwestern grains and aged for four years in new, charred American oak barrels. "There's nothing like sharing a glass of bourbon with my crew after a show...you could say it's been part of our ritual for years," Jason says in a press release. "Tyler and Brian have been a part of that ritual and we wanted to create something to remind us of our favourite memories. Wolf Moon's name is a nod to the pack...the friends that have become family. I'm looking forward to raising a glass with all my fans on the road this year."
Maren Morris' "The Bones" has gone to number one on the Mediabase chart this week. She co-wrote the song with Laura Veltz and Jimmy Robbins. "The bones are good," said Maren on Twitter. "Thank you so much for my third number one song. And I will behaving the party for it after I have this baby so I can drink all the margaritas."
Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd are expecting their baby boy in March and they want to make sure that he'll be able to be on the road with mom. Maren has been turning to other artist friends for ideas. Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott gave her some tips on configuring the bus through each stage of a child's life. At home, they are keeping the baby's nursery "cozy and dark", and they are staying away from the traditional blue colour.
