Carrie Underwood is back for the 14th season of NBC's Sunday Night Football.

According to People, fans can expect her performance to lean heavily into her love of rock 'n' roll.

Carrie says in a statement that this year's open is "one of my favourite opens yet" and jokes that it will follow her "ongoing rock star fever dream."

The opening will be revealed during the NFL kickoff on September 13th, when the Dallas Cowboys play the New York Giants.
