Ella Langley has bested Mariah Carey to set a new Billboard record.

Her song, "Choosin' Texas," has just marked 23 weeks on top of the Billboard Hot 100 Songs Chart, beating out Mariah Carey, who previously held the record at 22 weeks with her song "All I Want for Christmas Is You."

Ella posted a video to social media explaining what this moment means to her. "I'm genuinely trying to find the words to help explain what's going on in my brain today," she says in the video. "I don't know. Thank you so much."

"It's changing my life. It's changing lives of the writers of this song. It's changing the lives of my family," she continues.

Ella also shared how it doesn't feel real and that she's waiting for somebody to tell her it's a prank. But she's not letting herself stay in disbelief for too long. She's planning to go celebrate.

"I'm going to go out and celebrate tonight," she says. "And I'm really excited to just experience a moment like this in my life."

"Choosin’ Texas” has earned two Academy of Country Music Awards, one American Music Award, and is currently nominated for three Country Music Association Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards.

The song is co-written by Ella, Miranda Lambert, Luke Dick and Joybeth Taylor. It was produced by Ella, Miranda Lambert and Ben West.
