Gretchen Wilson is in the spotlight again after winning The Masked Singer last week.

Her career was put on hold while she dealt with some serious health issues. Gretchen says that she was one of the first people to be diagnosed with COVID and it took her a long time to recover from it. "It left me with high blood pressure, shortness of breath, asthma - all of which I still have - and it took about two years for me to find the right doctors, cardiologists to get it all sorted, to find the right medicine to get my blood pressure down," she reveals. "I mean, it was pretty severe. It was bad enough that I couldn't even do light housework without the blood pressure going up to scary levels." Gretchen had actually been approached several times by The Masked Singer before she agreed to appear as Pearl on Season 13. This is not the only television show that she'll be part of. Gretchen is the "tour manager" on Keith Urban and Blake Shelton's new singing competition, The Road.
