The Chicks have announced plans to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their album Taking the Long Way with an extended version of the album.

Taking the Long Way: 20th Anniversary Edition will feature five bonus songs and is set for release October 3rd. Plus, their songs "Thin Line" and "Live Wire" will be available to stream for the first time. 

The Chicks released Taking the Long Way in May 2006 and it featured their hit song "Not Ready to Make Nice." The album earned the trio five Grammy Awards.

"It's hard to believe it's been 20 years since Taking the Long Way. These songs take us right back to one of the most defining times in our lives, and it's incredible how much they still resonate today," The Chicks said in a press release.
