An arrest warrant was issued for Bailey Zimmerman on June 18th after he allegedly caused more than $16,000 in damage to a New Mexico hotel room.
He was supposed to play a show at the Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque on May 27th, but cancelled the show due to illness. According to the affidavit for the arrest warrant, Bailey was showing signs of intoxication in the hours leading up to the show. He allegedly stumbled onto the stage, grabbed a guitar and hit it on the ground "before tripping over the stage and falling backward." He also apparently threw two cymbals on the stage during the rehearsal, kicked a drum set, pushed a guitarist and threw a microphone to the ground. Bailey has also been accused of spitting in the direction of a hotel security officer and refusing to get into his SUV because it was white instead of black.
Witnesses say that when he got back to the hotel, he had blood visible on his left knee and was "seen stumbling down the hallway toward his room." Bailey cancelled his show that night, saying, "I have not been feeling well and have tried to power through, but I'm not able to give you all the show you deserve."
The resort gave him a deadline to leave the property, but had to call the police when he became "disorderly." Bailey eventually cooperated and left.
The next morning, housekeeping found his room with more than $16,000 damage, including a broken phone, damaged TV, chairs and coffee table, two missing chairs and a hole in the wall. They also claim that he charged $400 in alcohol to the room and did not pay his bill. A warrant for Bailey's arrest was issued after multiple attempts to contact him failed. Bailey is facing charges for a fourth-degree felony for criminal damage to property over $1000 and a misdemeanor for falsely obtaining services.
