Billy Currington has just released his first album since 2021's Intuition.

King of the World features 10 tracks that represent the growth that he has experienced throughout the last two decades of his country music career. The album was a bit unexpected. Billy explained that one day in Nashville he reconnected with producer Carson Chamberlain for the first time in almost 10 years. They were catching up about their lives and future plans when they decided they needed to work together again. They went through hundreds of songs that Billy had accumulated over the years, many of which have a more traditional country sound. They decided on 10 songs which make up his seventh studio album.
